BRANCH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Wrekin (Wellington) Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 24 Feb 26 at the Sir John Bayley Club, Haygate Road, Wellington commencing 1930hrs.

All Branch members and other interested individuals are invited to attend.

Branch members (full & associate) are encouraged to volunteer for any of the Branch Officer or other roles on the committee, and should send their name, and role they wish to volunteer for to the Branch Secretary no later than 18 Feb 26.

The Royal Air Forces Association (RAF Association or the Association), is the largest single Service membership organisation and the longest standing registered service charity that provides welfare support to the RAF Family - providing friendship, help and support to current and former members of the Royal Air Force and their dependants.

Receiving no government contributions, the RAF Association is completely funded by the generosity of their members and through vital donations from their supporters in the general public and businesses. The Association exists in the recognition that RAF personnel and their immediate families dedicate their lives to their country, and to ensure that such a sacrifice do not result in suffering, poverty or loneliness

They were there for us in our darkest days.

We must not fail them in theirs.

For over 90 years, the RAF Association has championed a simple belief – that no member of the RAF community should ever be left without the help that they need.

Not since WWII has the RAF been so constantly deployed on global operations – and across the generations, the need for support is becoming ever more complex. Demand for our services is therefore increasing significantly.

For the sake of everyone who needs our help, we must continue to evolve and innovate to meet these new challenges and remain at the leading edge of service provision. We must champion the best interests of the RAF community more strongly than ever before.

Only then can we be sure that every member of our RAF community is receiving the support they need and deserve.
